Viewers blast Bachelor Locky for steamy cocktail party kiss

Bachelor fans were left slightly miffed after Thursday night’s episode, as it became clear once and for all the unspoken rule of ‘no kissing at a cocktail party’ had well and truly been thrown out the window.

Plenty of viewers were particularly angry after Bachelor Locky Gilbert’s steamy make out session with Bella, despite the fact the pair had already enjoyed a single date during the week.

Locky went so far as to use an umbrella as a ‘prop’ this time to make sure his pash sesh remained on the relative down low from the other women.

Viewers took to Twitter to share their frustration at the ‘blatant favouritism’ shown on screen.

“There shouldn’t be kissing at cocktail parties - what if the other girls see?” one person asked, adding: “It’s an uncomfortable environment as is with having to date the same person and that’s without having to see the person you’re dating kiss someone else”

A few lashed out at Bella for the sneaky kiss, while her former best friend Irena was clearly upset for most of the evening.

After all she was the one that whispered, “Hold the umbrella behind us.”

“Oh my god. Why the heck does Bella keep making out with him at a cocktail party so much. Like seriously. Mate,” one person wrote.

But others defended Bella, saying it was clearly Locky who had pulled her aside.

“Why are y’all getting mad at bella for going off to kiss Locky when he is literally the one who grabs her and instigates it. Good grief, I know y’all don’t like her but come on,” was one response.

Some fans even wondered how many cocktail party kisses happened that weren’t shown on camera.

“I wonder how many of them Locky kissed one-on-one at a cocktail party lol,” one person asked.

“Funny, we never used to see kisses at the rose ceremonies, essentially until Locky's season WOW!” another mused.

It comes after former Bachelorette Angie Kent called Locky out for a ‘liking’ spree on Instagram.

She had apparently noticed Locky reacting to saucy snaps shared by various scantily-clad female Instagram users — including upcoming Bachelorette Elly Miles.

“I find it super disrespectful when dudes who have girlfriends go on cute little liking sprees of babes in bathers or lingerie,” the former Bachelorette wrote.
