Bachelor Richie Strahan's 'scruffy' new look shocks fans
He was the fresh-faced Aussie gent looking for love on The Bachelor Australia in 2016 but four years later rope access technician Richie Strahan has swapped his once clean-cut image for a more rough and rugged look.
The reality star debuted longer, tousled ginger locks and a scruffy beard and moustache combo on Instagram on Monday that is in stark contrast with his well-groomed TV-ready appearance of yesteryear.
The 35-year-old had also understandably swapped his cocktail party black suit and tie for casual and comfy jeans and zip up jacket for the series of pics which appear to have been taken at his home.
Richie’s fans on social media have weighed in on his style shakeup, with many dropping not-so-subtle hints that he should tidy up his look.
“Richie ya scruff,” joked one.
“Please shave and get a haircut,” another wrote.

Others have taken a liking to this relaxed and rumpled Richie.
“Liking this rugged look on you,” praised one.
“I never thought of Richie as my type, until now,” admitted another.
Back in September Richie shared a snap of himself cuddled up on the couch with his new girlfriend, Jenayah Thompson. The couple made their Instagram debut a year ago when Richie posted a pic of the pair at a friend’s wedding.
The Perth native has maintained a relatively private life of late after a very public few years in the spotlight that began when he appeared on Sam Frost’s season of The Bachelorette in 2015. Sadly, Richie didn’t receive Sam’s final rose but was given a second chance at love as The Bachelor the following year.
He fell head over heels for single mum Alex Nation but unfortunately their relationship was short lived, ending in August 2017.
Two years later the former couple came face to face in Fiji on Bachelor In Paradise however they both ended up pairing up with other contestants.
