The Bachelor: Osher calls out Bella's 'childish' spat with Irena
As the longstanding host of The Bachelor, Osher Gunsberg is expected to remain impartial and tight-lipped over the goings-on in the mansion.
But, after seven years of quietly overseeing seven bachelors find love, the 46-year-old was no longer able to bite his tongue when it came to the ongoing drama of Locky Gilbert’s season.
Osher to Bella: ‘No one says that’
Speaking on the Bachie-based podcast Cocktails & Roses, Osher took aim at Bella Varelis’ ‘childish’ behaviour toward her fellow contestant and former ‘best friend’, Irena Srbinovska, in episode 10.
After returning to set following weeks in COVID-19 lockdown, Bella, 25, declared that her weeks-long friendship with Irena, 31, was ‘over’ in a heated cocktail party spat.
The fiery encounter kicked off when Bella had seemingly had enough of Irena’s claims that she and Locky had been texting and calling ‘every day’ outside of their allocated Zoom dates.
“I don't trust you anymore. I'm sorry,” a flustered Bella told Irena.
“And I don't trust you,” Irena replied.
“Friendship done. I’m f***ing over your bulls**t, to be honest! You’re a manipulative little b***h!” Bella shouted at her ex-BFF before storming off.
Osher had some choice words for Bella’s conduct while discussing the clash with his podcast co-host Alisha Aitken-Radburn, who suggested she was acting like a ‘17-year-old high school student’.

“No, no, no. This was straight out of a grade nine, little lunch conflict playbook,” Osher replied.
“‘Friendship over’ is something that you say right before the bell and you have to then go into P.E.
“Come on, man. We’re grown adults. You pay tax, you vote. Come on. No one says ‘friendship over’.”
According to another podcast, So Dramatic!, however, a ‘body-shaming’ incident between Irena and Bella that was not shown on-screen may have been the real catalyst for the blowup.
Both women are considered frontrunners to win Locky’s heart and it’s not the first time that they’ve flaunted their respective connections with the former Survivor star in front of each other.
After Locky ‘met’ Bella’s mum over Zoom in a previous episode, Bella bragged that her mum ‘might as well give Locky the keys’ to the family beach house.
And when reuniting with Locky for the first time since quarantine, Irena greeted him with a kiss on the lips.
‘Too good’ for Locky
Irena recently raised eyebrows when she reacted to an Instagram comment posted by a fan who said she was 'too good' for Locky.
“You're too good for him tho!!!” the fan wrote, adding two rose emojis. And Irena was one of seven people who ‘liked’ the comment, The Wash reported.
Irena has been the bookies' favourite since the first episode, however some think this could indicate that she and Locky don’t actually get their happy ending after all.
Either that, or she was simply appreciative of the compliment left by the fan.
