Timm Hanly 'ghosted' Britt Hockley after Bachelor In Paradise exit

Brittany Hockley has made some shocking revelations about her relationship with Bachelor In Paradise co-star Timm Hanley, claiming that he ‘treated her really badly’ and ‘ghosted’ her shortly after their dramatic exit from the show.

“He said he really wanted to be with me, but as soon as we got out, he didn’t want a bar of it. I only saw him once and he treated me really badly, to be honest,” Britt told news.com.au on Tuesday morning.

According to the 32-year-old, Timm was ‘very, very different’ after their shock decision to quit Paradise — which was filmed in late 2019 — in order to give their connection a real shot in the ‘real world’.

Britt revealed she and the 28-year-old had spent Christmas last year with her family in Sydney before he flew home to Melbourne and cut off all contact.

“He literally just ghosted me — he didn’t want a bar of me,” she told the publication.

It was a different story in the first few episodes of Monday night’s episode, when Timm — whose behaviour on BIP has been widely criticised — declared that he was ‘struggling’ and wanted to return home with his lady love by his side.

Britt was thrilled and accepted Timm’s proposal, telling producers: “I actually so happy because I want to be absolutely with Timm.” The pair walked off into the sunset but it appears that all was not well once they left Fiji.

Over on her Instagram account, Britt was more positive about her time on the dating show and said that she has ‘no regrets’ about taking a second stab at love.

“I have no regrets and took a lot away from my time in Paradise. We all know I’m a huge romantic and I love love, so if there was a chance of me finding that I was going to give it a go,” she wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Unfortunately it (still) wasn’t my turn for a happy ending. But that’s ok, it’s all part of the journey ... I’m sure when it does happen it will be worth the wait. (It bloody better be),” she added.

Timm ‘back with ex’

Meanwhile, Timm has confirmed he’s rekindled his relationship with an ex following his split from Brittany.

The 28-year-old shared the news during a chat on Hobart’s Hit100.9 on Tuesday morning, saying that while he and Britt ‘didn’t work out’ he was ‘really happy’ after reconnecting with his former girlfriend ‘a couple of months ago’.

“Yeah it didn’t work out [with Brittany], but I’m in a good place at the moment, I’m really happy,” he said.

Timm explained that he and his current flame were together for six years but broke up before his appearance on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette.

“This was the girl I was with for six years before The Bachelorette and we just got back together a couple of months ago,” he said.

When quizzed by hosts Jimmy and Nath about why their long-term relationship came to an end, Timm said it was a combination of bad timing and him being ‘a bit of a loose cannon’. He said that the couple’s second attempt at love is ‘going good’.

He also agreed that it was refreshing to be with someone outside with Bachie bubble: “100 per cent, now that I have done it, public relationships scare me. It’s so full-on everyone knowing your business. I know that’s what you sign up for, but you don’t know it until you’re in it.”
