EARLIER: A search is underway for a mum and her 11-month-old baby who have not been seen in five days.

NSW Police on Sunday appealed for help finding 18-year-old and her baby daughter, who have been missing in Nowra, on the state’s South Coast, since Tuesday about 10am.

They were last seen on Plunkett Street and despite officers conducting extensive enquiries, they have yet to find the mum and child.

The teenager was described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150 centimetres tall, and of medium build with blonde hair and blue/green eyes.

The baby girl was described as being of Caucasian appearance with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police said the mum had previously lived in the Rockdale area, but her current place of residence was not known. She is known to frequent the Shoalhaven area.

Officers have serious concern for the welfare of the baby and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
