Avril Lavigne has marked the 20th anniversary of her debut album Let Go by recreating the cover picture on TikTok.

The Canadian singer, 37, was just 17 years old when she put out the album in 2002 featuring her top hits Sk8er Boi and Complicated.

Lavigne has now shared a clip to TikTok to celebrate the special milestone.

In the Tik Tok, she wore a black leath trench coat as she walked into the middle of the road of the New York street where the album cover was originally shot.

The video then cuts to the original Let Go album cover.

It is underscored by Simple Plan’s song I’m Just A Kid and even got a reaction from the band, with them commenting: “This is amazing! Happy 20th Anniversary!”

Also lending his support, Lavigne’s fiancé Mod Sun said: “This is so amazing!”

Despite her glittering career, Lavigne recently stunned fans by announcing her attention to move away from music and release a cookbook.

“My food is, like, gourmet. I can do everything! Pasta, sauce, vegan, salads and soups – I can do every kind of soup,” she told The Guardian in May.

Lavigne also expressed a desire to write a Christmas album and launch her own makeup line, plus she gave an update on the long anticipated film adaption of her classic track Sk8er Boi.

Confirming the project had finally found a director, she told the publication: “I can’t wait to learn this process of making a movie. I think I’ll want to make more.”
