Australian officials visit Julian Assange for the first time in 6 years

WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, is one of the most polarising figures in modern times.


This week it was revealed that he was receiving consular assistance from Australian officials.

Is it a sign that there is a breakthrough in the case that has lasted almost 8 years?

“I find the Australian Governments position entirely unacceptable and one that makes me ashamed to be Australian” his lawyer Jennifer Robinson said.
