Aust could learn from NZ, Turnbull says

Australia doesn't pay enough attention to New Zealand when there's a lot that could be learned from our closest neighbour, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says.

With a less complex system of government, New Zealand is often able to do things more quickly and more efficiently, Mr Turnbull told a Trans Tasman Business Circle luncheon he attended with NZ counterpart John Key in Sydney on Tuesday.

"I'm a strong believer in government being agile and government modulating our policies in light of experience, not just our own but others, and New Zealand is a very worth environment to observe and learn from," Mr Turnbull said.
