Aussie woman wins $100,000 lottery TWICE in two months

While the old adage goes that lightning doesn’t strike twice, an Aussie woman seems to be an exception to the rule after winning her second $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize in two months.

The lucky woman, who hails from Nerang on the Gold Coast, took home the guaranteed first prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10623, drawn Monday, July 25.

“This is absolutely ridiculous! No! You can’t be telling the truth,” the woman yelled when speaking over the phone with an official from The Lott on Tuesday morning.

“Are you being serious? Do people really win twice? I can’t believe this,” she said.

After some convincing from lottery officials, the woman was so overwhelmed by her good fortune that she needed to sit down.

'I just buy entries randomly' admits winner

Once she recovered from the shock of the life-changing news, the woman explained that her win was down to good old-fashioned luck of the draw.

“I just buy entries randomly, which is why I’m so shocked by this,” she explained.

She revealed she had no idea how she would spend her windfall after pouring her entire win from her previous Lucky Lotteries win into her savings.

“I don’t even know what to do with myself. When I last won, I just put it all into savings and that was a huge relief,” she revealed.

However, this time around she confessed she might treat herself to a new car and paint the town red.

“Now I think I might have to buy myself a new car and celebrate,” she laughed.

“This is incredible. I’m so glad I answered this phone call now!”

How Lucky Lotteries works

The woman’s winning entry of four random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, meaning there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won.

However, if the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Lucky Lotteries players win more than $32 million in 2021

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.53 million for draw 1583, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $19.915 million for draw 10624.

In 2021, 127 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by a Coolangatta man who took home $9.41 million in May's Mega Jackpot.
