Aussie ute driver mocked over bizarre car park blunder: 'New fear unlocked'

A Perth driver’s carpark bungle has gone viral with many questioning “how the the hell” they were able to get themselves free.

In a photo posted to Facebook, the author writes that “somebody is completely stuck” next to an image of a white Mitsubishi Triton entangled with an unlikely foe.

The ute can be seen parked next to a trolley bay, but it appears that while the driver was trying to enter or exit the parking spot, they managed to get caught in the metal frame of the trolley bay. The vehicle looks to be trapped with the pole wedged between the back tyre and body of the 4WD.

WA drivers left scratching their heads

“What a doozy,” one person wrote online. “Special skills right there!” joked another.

“How the hell would you get out of that situation,” someone else wrote, while another questioned “how the hell did they get IN to that situation.”

“Next fear unlocked,” another Facebook user added. “Now I’m paranoid next to the trolley bays,” another said.

With the post racking up thousands of reactions, some were quick to give their own advice on how best to free the vehicle.

“Jack the car up then wheel it to the side,” someone suggested. “Snatch strap around the opposite wheels and drag it out,” said another.

“Full lock to the right and reverse slow,” one user oddered.

Dangerous carpark errors

A major mistake in a Sydney shopping centre carpark left one driver red faced recently. In October photos surfaced of a Honda Civic positioned on top of a squished Mercedes at Westfield Hurstville.

It’s believed a 73-year-old woman crashed the Honda into the boom gates, which somehow sent her car flying onto the luxury vehicle. According to reports, the driver had meant to press the brake pedal but hit the accelerator instead.

Meanwhile a hapless supermarket shopper managed to destroy their vehicle after getting stuck between trolley safety barriers in Scotland.

Footage shows the crumpled red Toyota completely wedged between two metal poles, parallel to the road and the trolley drop-off areas. Fortunately the driver was unharmed in the incident.
