'Atrocious': Controversy erupts over Australian Open player's 'shameful' act
Australian Open fans have slammed Caroline Wozniacki’s opponent, Dayana Yastremska, of gamesmanship after she took a medical timeout at the end of the match.
Wozniacki was one game away from victory in the second set, 5-4, after claiming the first when her opponent called for the trainer and received a medical timeout.

The former World No.1 went on to claim the victory 7-5, 7-5 but said she wasn’t surprised with her opponent’s decision and accused her of using the same stunt before.
“Yeah, obviously she tried to break my rhythm,” Wozniacki said after the match.
“And at 5-4 I don't think there is anything wrong. She was running just fine.
“So that's a trick that she's done before, and I knew that it was coming.
“But I was just trying to stay focused. I had match point. I had chances. I didn't take them. Some of them she played well; some of them I played too passively.
“In the end I just tried to keep focusing, just keep grinding, keep hanging in there. And I finally made it at 6-5 for me, and that was a nice relief.”
Tennis expert, Ben Rothenberg, also appeared to express his shock, or lack there of, when Yastremska took the medical timeout.

The former World No.1 Wozniacki, now ranked 36th, will retire at the end of the tournament after a glittering career.

The youngest player in the draw fought back against a woman almost twice her age, the 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory coming after her first-round win over Venus Williams.
Fans couldn’t believe the excitement and maturity Gauff showed when trailing the Romanian in the third-set.
