Aurora Australis Lights up Night Sky Over Mount Wellington, Tasmania
Some Tasmanians were treated to a dazzling nighttime light show on the evening of November 4, as an aurora australis lit up the sky above Mount Wellington.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s Space Weather Services issued an aurora alert on Thursday evening, warning that a geomagnetic storm was in progress, and that “aurora may be observed during local night time hours”.
