Would-be thief puts hot spaghetti down his pants and instantly regrets it

A Perth supermarket has described an attempted shoplifter caught on camera as “stupidity at its highest form” when they spotted his hiding place for hot spaghetti.

In the video posted to Forrest Road Fresh Facebook, the man can be seen hiding a container of hot spaghetti down his pants before walking away.

It didn’t take long for the pasta lover to regret his decision, as just seconds later he starts to frantically brush his pants where the hot food is hidden and limps down the aisle.

Suddenly, he pulls the scolding hot food out of his pants, flinging it on the floor before leaving the store in a rush.

“Putting a hot meal of spaghetti down your pants, not only is it going to burn you but will expose you to the public for attempted shoplifting,” the supermarket posted along with the short video.

Followers of the family owned store in Armadale were amused by the foolish attempt to get away with a free hot meal, and the video has been widely shared.

“Natural justice in action,” one woman wrote.

“He didn’t get to wear the Dolmio grin!” another person commented.

“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there's vomit on his sweater already, mum's spaghetti,” one Eminem fan reminisced.

The owners of Forrest Road Fresh are hoping somebody will recognise the would-be thief and have asked their followers to keep an eye out.
