Aussie software company Atlassian has kicked off a nation-wide recruitment drive. It’s looking for 1,032 new research and development employees, and promising a flexible ‘work from anywhere’ policy.

Atlassian, founded by Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, will drive a branded RV (nicknamed the ‘AtlassiVan’) across Australia starting today.

The company, which is one of Australia’s biggest tech businesses, was named one of the best workplaces to grow your career in Australia in 2022 by LinkedIn.

It’s also earned positive feedback and high scores on job review sites like Indeed and Glassdoor.

“Starting in Sydney, the branded AtlassiVan will make its way to key locations in the country where emerging technology talent has been identified, including Canberra, Wollongong, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast,” the company said.

What are the perks?

The RV is designed to showcase the company’s ‘work from anywhere policy’, which allows employees to work remotely.

“We believe the future of work is distributed because amazing talent exists everywhere. All Atlassians have the freedom to choose where they work — whether it’s at home, an office, (or van!),” it said.

Atlassian is currently advertising jobs in engineering, sales, customer experience, support and people, amongst others.

Atlassian has kept mum on salary expectations. But, according to some reports, the tech company is high-paying.

Data obtained by The Australian revealed that Atlassian is paying salaries of $200,000 for graduate software engineers.

This puts it on par with Google and trading firm Akuna Capital, and slightly ahead of Canva ($173,000) and Amazon ($153,000) for graduate salaries, the report found.

Atlassian plans to grow to 25,000 staff in the next four years, with the new recruits pushing the company’s global workforce to over 10,000.

Here’s where the Atlassian recruitment team is set to travel:

  • 5th October: Sydney (Martin Place)

  • 6th October: Wollongong (161 Crown Street)

  • 10th October: Canberra (Australian National University)
