Assisted living facility accused of running 'fight club' with dementia patients

Three women have been arrested accused of running a “Fight Club” at an aged care facility.

Marilyn Latish McKey, 32, Tonacia Yvonne Tyson, 20, and Taneshia Deshawn Jordan, 26, of North Carolina have been charged with assaulting disabled persons, Fox News reports.

It’s alleged the three women, all former employees at Danby House, encouraged residents to brawl.

According to arrest warrants obtained by the Winston-Salem Journal, the trio are also accused of assaulting two elderly women.

Court documents obtained by the paper state during one of the incidents, the trio watched on and filmed as two elderly residents fought each other while one of them yelled, “let go, help me, help me, let go”.

The resident was pushed onto a bed as the women watched on and couldn’t push her attacker off as she was being strangled, the court documents state.

Danby House said the three were fired in June. That’s when it’s alleged the events occurred.

According to North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the two elderly women in the brawl were living at Danby House due to dementia.

It is not known when the three will face court.
