'Get over it!': Labour's Angela Rayner tells sacked Tory ministers to stop 'moaning'
Labour deputy leadership favourite Angela Rayner has delivered a typically forthright message to former Tory ministers who have been sacked by Boris Johnson: “Get over it!”
The prime minister delivered his cabinet reshuffle on Thursday in which a number of high-profile MPs lost their ministerial jobs.
Without naming names, Rayner claimed she witnessed some of them “whinging and moaning” afterwards.
Known for her blunt speaking, she posted this riposte on Twitter.
Some Tory Ex ministers sacked by the PM in his #reshuffle now whinging and moaning. Sorry l have zero sympathy, you have been part of this austerity fuelled Tory government which has devastated the Poor, Sick, Disabled, Homeless and Unemployed. You are still MPs, so get over it!

MPs enjoy a salary of £77,379.
Julian Smith, Andrea Leadsom, Esther McVey and Geoffrey Cox were among the high-profile MPs who lost their jobs in Johnson’s reshuffle. Sajid Javid also shocked Westminster by later resigning as chancellor of the exchequer.

It’s not the first time Rayner has mocked Tory MPs. In December, following the general election, she labelled a photo of all-white northern Conservative MPs as a “new branch of the Bullingdon Club”.
She has also spoken out against those in her own party. Last month, Rayner fired back at ex-deputy leader Tom Watson after he said her friend and flat-mate Rebecca Long-Bailey would be Jeremy Corbyn’s “continuity candidate” in the main leadership contest.

She told Sky News: “As a northern working-class lass, I’ve been underestimated and told my place ever since I was born.
“And two northern women, I can tell you, will not be told that we are continuity anything from any man.”
Rayner is widely considered the favourite to become Labour’s next deputy leader.
The shadow education secretary has impressed during her campaign, with many questioning why she didn’t enter the main leadership race.
