When is Angela Black on TV?
The six-part thriller series begins on Sunday, 10 October at 9pm on ITV.
What is Angela Black about?
Angela Black looks on the face of it to have it all - a beautiful family and home, no money worries, days spent volunteering at an animal shelter.
But behind closed doors, she is hiding that her seemingly charming husband Olivier is a controlling and violent man who has terrorised her for most of her adult life.
Too scared to leave him, Angela has become skilled at covering up her bruises and explaining away her injuries - until one night she has an encounter with a stranger who blows her world apart.
With her children at a sleepover, Angela goes out for a drink, but outside the pub she runs into private investigator Ed who tells her some shocking truths that Olivier has been hiding.
Overnight, Angela's life turns from school runs, volunteering and dinner parties to private detectives and unearthing secrets.
Can she trust Ed, and will she manage to break free from the constant threat of Olivier?
Angela Black is written by Harry and Jack Williams, who also created The Missing and Liar, so we're promised plenty of unexpected storyline shocks.
