An inside look at the details and protocols of the Disney bubble
In an NBA season unlike any other, the bubble at the World Disney World Resort in Orlando is perhaps the biggest character of the NBA restart. It has affected every part of life in the season resumption and every aspect of competition — as it should — to prevent any cases of COVID-19 on the sprawling property.
Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, who has been in the bubble for almost six weeks, takes you behind the scenes to show the details and protocols of a new world in a controlled environment.
This certainly isn’t your normal NBA season.
The NBA’s bubble campus sits inside Disney World’s massive 40-square-mile campus in Orlando, Florida. A total of 22 teams played eight seeding games each the first two weeks across three venues at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in the southern area of the park. The players live at three hotels at various locations throughout Disney World.
