'It's moving!' Woman's deadly discovery in her laundry

A terrified Queensland mother and her cat received quite the fright when a deadly snake appeared in the woman’s laundry.

Bernie Beddie shared a series of videos to Facebook showing the elusive eastern brown trying to outsmart the catcher called to remove it from the home.

The first clip, shared to Facebook live Tuesday afternoon, shows the serpent sticking its head up and taking a look out of the laundry window.

“The snake catcher is on it’s way – and it’s moving!” The woman exclaims.

“Stay there, snake,” Ms Beddie orders the serpent, before having a minor meltdown when it temporarily disappears from view.

She said it didn’t take long for the catcher to arrive, but it had slithered under the washing machine in the meantime, causing a bit of grief for the man to find.

Even after the catcher unplugged the washing machine from the wall and dragged it outside, the elusive reptile was still tough to locate.

“Come on out,” he calls to the snake.

While anxiously watching on, the mother comments: “I’m glad the kids aren’t here.”

Her worried kitten Mittens can also be heard meowing in the video, before the curious kitty attempts to get a closer look to see what is happening, then gets shooed away.

The catcher eventually manages to get hold of the eastern brown, and with a bit of a struggle he places it in his bag.

“You get in there and stay there!” he tells the fiesty snake. “Get back down!”

One friend commented on the thread saying: “Omg I would be moving out stuff that.”

Another, noticing the car parked in the garage, wrote: “Ummm get on top your freaking car Bernie!!!!”

A third added it was $70 well spent to remove the deadly snake from the home.
