Boy found safe after police issue amber alert

Queensland police have thanked the public for their help in finding a 10-year-old boy who had been taken from school by a man known to him.

The boy was taken from Woodford State School in the Moreton Bay region at around 3.30pm on Friday, with police expressing significant concern for his safety.

At 9pm they reported the boy had been found.
