Amanda Bynes debuts dramatic new look in Instagram return

Three months after completely wiping her social media accounts, former child star Amanda Bynes has returned to Instagram debuting a dramatic new look.

In the new photo shared on the account, the 34-year-old Hairspray star is sporting jet black long hair, with a side part and fringe.

Her account has been rebranded to ‘Matte Black Online Store’, about one year after she graduated from California's Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

Amanda also wore loose ripped jeans, a yellow flannel and a black top, giving off an edgy punk vibe. She still has her septum piercing and her black heart face tattoo, which she revealed in December 2019.

There was no caption on the image and comments are disabled.

Earlier this year, Amanda announced her engagement to Paul Michael before the couple split three weeks later.

But they actually reunited again a day later, and first appeared with her new black hair on his Instagram account three weeks ago, when he shared a selfie of the couple with the caption, "Baby luv luv u".

In 2018, Amanda gave an exclusive interview to Paper magazine where she opened up about her mental health issues, as well as her history of drug abuse, including marijuana, ecstasy, MDMA and Adderall.

At the time of the interview, Amanda shared she had been sober for four years, following several legal issues in 2012, which included charges for a DUI, driving with a suspended licence and two counts of hit-and-run.

“I started smoking marijuana when I was 16. Even though everyone thought I was the ‘good girl,’ I did smoke marijuana from that point on,” she told the magazine. “I didn’t get addicted [then] and I wasn’t abusing it. And I wasn’t going out and partying or making a fool of myself… yet.”
