Alyson Stoner Says Kissing Dylan Sprouse Was "Uncomfortable" When They Appeared On "The Suite Life With Zack And Cody"
You know Alyson Stoner from tons of things — Missy Elliott videos, Cheaper by the Dozen, the Kingdom Hearts games, the list goes on.
When they were working as a child actor, Alyson — who identifies as queer and uses they/them pronouns — also appeared on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody as the recurring character Max.
Alyson recently posted a clip from their Dear Hollywood podcast to TikTok in which they explained how they had their first kiss with Dylan Sprouse while shooting the show — and why the experience was less than ideal.

Alyson explained that, while working on the show, "writers and executives might decide to make your character do anything on the next episode. And it's assumed that you're going to agree to whatever scripted."
"I remember on Suite Life on Disney," they said after revealing that her "first kiss" took place on camera. "I'd already booked the role of Max and I'd filmed an episode."
"Well, a few weeks later, they wrote an episode where Max had to kiss both twins."
People points out that the episode Alyson is likely referring to was "Kisses and Basketball," in which they kissed Zack, played by Dylan Sprouse.
Alyson says they felt "young and uncomfortable" during the experience. "I felt like, you know, this is part of my job," they recalled. "I chose to act and audition for this project. It's only a character."
"So in that way, I justified like, 'Okay, I can have my kiss here and then I'll have my own separate first kiss at some point.'"
