Alleged thief's T-shirt mistake during court appearance

An alleged porch thief has made the job easier for police after making an odd decision during his court appearance.

A resident of Goose Creek, in South Carolina, posted a photo of a man on Facebook on November 10 alleging he’s a “porch pirate” or someone who steals things left outside people’s front doorsteps.

She alleged he stole a package off her porch after stealing an Amazon delivery from her neighbour.

The woman posted a photo of the man and claims she called the police.

Goose Creek Police Department shared the woman’s post.

“Well, sometimes people actually do make our job easy,” police wrote.

“This guy decided to come into our courtroom the day after the first post was made and lucky for us he was even wearing the same shirt. We are happy to say he is in custody.”

It’s not clear what he’s been charged with and if his appearance in court was related to the alleged theft.
