No bail for alleged NSW child sex abuser

A man charged with the sexual abuse of two young girls and a boy in NSW will remain behind bars until at least the new year.

The 48-year-old man, who cannot be named, was arrested outside a Central Coast home about 8am Wednesday, with police seizing 70 items including mobile phones, cameras and computers.

Police allege the man sexually and indecently assaulted two girls - then aged eight and nine - on multiple occasions at homes near Canberra and in Sydney's northwest between 2008 and 2009.

It's further alleged the man, who was known to police, sexually and indecently assaulted a boy - then aged between 11 and 13 - at homes on the Central Coast between 2010 and 2011.

The man appeared before Wyong Local Court on Thursday, charged with 17 offences including the production of child pornography, aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecent assault and detaining a person.

He did not apply for bail and it was formally refused. He is next scheduled to appear at Wyong Local Court on January 8, 2020.
