Loyal shoppers typically go crazy for Aldi’s Special Buys sales, held every Wednesday and Saturday without fail, but there’ll be something different about this weekend.

Usually, eagle-eyed shoppers keep their eyes peeled for certain cult products such as Lacura skincare – a popular discount beauty range often compared to the higher-end La Mer and La Prairie that sells out in mere minutes – haloumi friesexercise machines, and, bizarrely, caravan covers that causes “mass stampedes”.

But this Saturday 7 December, the Special Buys sale has a number of household names and products that will even have indifferent Aldi shoppers running.

And Aldi knows it, too: according to the fine print on the website, don’t hedge your bets that the products on sale will definitely be there, or that you’ll be able to buy in bulk.

“Despite our careful planning, we apologise if selected items may sell out on the first day due to unexpected high demand,” the German supermarket said on the website.

“In the event of unexpected high demand, ALDI Stores reserves the right to limit purchases to reasonable quantities. Prices are correct at time of uploading and are subject to change.”

The first thing beauty lovers should know is that Aldi is selling its Lacura skincare in gift sets for $29.99 – but we’d wager that buyers will be purchasing for themselves.

Lacura Beauty eyeshadow, contouring and eyebrow makeup palettes are also on sale for just $9.99 each, and you’ll be able to find a make-up brush cleaner and dryer for $16.99.

Aldi is also selling several coveted camera accessories for cheap, such as a Canon mini photo printer which typically retails for $170.78 if you’re shopping from Ink Depot.

But this Saturday, it’ll set you back just $129, saving you $50.78 that you can be spending on other Aldi products.

Then there’s the Fujifilm Instax Mini 9: at Big W, it’s selling for just under $100, but you can nab it this Saturday for $79.99.

If those camera accessories don’t float your boat, there’s also Wi-Fi action camera, bluetooth selfie accessories, and a 7-piece smartphone camera kit for the experimental photographers.

Those who need new tech are also in luck: prepare for summer parties with Bluetooth party speakers (which come in two different colours) that are totally reminiscent of the popular Ultimate Ears BOOM portable bluetooth speakers.

However, instead of paying the hefty $147 price tag at JB Hi-Fi, Aldi’s version will only cost you $39.99.

If you’d prefer to enjoy tunes and podcasts in your own privacy, do so Sony’s wireless headphones which retail for $249.99 on the Sony website.

But at Aldi, you’ll buy the same product for just a mere fifth of that price, with the wireless headphones selling for $49.99 this Saturday.

If the headphones are too much for you, snap up Bauhn true wireless earbuds for $59.99, and get your fix of wearable tech with the $39.99 smartwatch.

Men can update their grooming kit with $39.99 electric shavers, rechargeable grooming kits ($19.99), and beard grooming kits ($12.99).

An accessory box is selling for $19.99 as are Christmas novelty bath bombs for $2.99 each.

There’ll be something for everyone, but one thing is certain: stocks are of limited availability and will range across stores, meaning you’ll really have to get in early this Saturday to snap up the Special Buy product you have your eye on.
