Airstrike near Gaza's Al-Aqsa Hospital kills 3, injures 50

An airstrike hit outside Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza early on Monday.

The explosions killed three people and injured 50 others, according to hospital officials.

Tents caught fire, and residents carried the injured into the hospital.

Desperate Palestinians attempted to quell the flames with blankets, fire extinguishers and water before firefighters could extinguish the blaze.

Footage by AP shows several people, presumed dead, inside the hospital grounds.

This comes after an Israeli airstrike killed at least 20 people, including children, at a school Sunday night, according to two local hospitals.

The school in Nuseirat was sheltering some of the many Palestinians displaced by the war.
