Police release horrific photos from 'Slender Man' stabbing crime scene

WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: Police have released horrific crime scene photos from the 2014 "Slender Man" stabbing case, showing a huge amount of blood on the victim's shirt and the knife that was used to carry out the attack.

The photos have only just been released because offenders Morgan Geyser, 15, and Anissa Weier, 16, began serving their combined 65-year sentence in a mental hospital after stabbing a 12-year-old girl, who survived, 19 times.

Geyser and Weier said they carried out the attack on classmate Payton Leutner, in Wisconsin in the US, to appease Slender Man - a fictional online horror character, who they said they feared would otherwise harm them and their families.

Slender Man is often typified by spidery limbs and a blank white face.

Photos released by Wisconsin Police show blood stained shorts and a blood stained shirt.

Emblazoned on the shirt are the the words “Love, Hope, Smile, Beautiful, Dream”. There's also puncture holes from the knife that was plunged into the 12-year-old's body.

The crime scene photos also include the kitchen knife used.

The 911 call made by a cyclist who found the injured girl has also been released and reveals that she was having trouble breathing, but was still conscious after the attack.

“She says she was stabbed multiple times,” the cyclist told the operators.

“She’s breathing. She says she can take shallow breaths. She’s alert.”

The operator asks the man if he can see an assailant anywhere to which he replies he can't see anybody.

“I think she is trying to save energy,” he told the operator.

He can be heard asking her "who did this to you" but it appears she doesn't want to answer.

One of the wounds just missed Leutner's heart by a fraction of an inch, WISN reported.

Weier was pictured with blood soaked on her undershirt while Geyser had a blood stain on her coat.

Leutner’s mother said the now-high school freshman has 25 uncomfortable scars on her body.

Geyser and Weier admitted that they lured victim Leutner into some woods near a suburban Milwaukee park.

Geyser stabbed Leutner 19 times while Weier urged her on, according to investigators.

They left Leutner for dead but she crawled out of the woods and got help from the passing bicyclist. All three girls were 12 at the time.
