Young girl's horrific injuries 'after laundry pod explodes'
A mother has shared a warning to other parents after claiming a laundry pod exploded and left her daughter with horrific injuries.
Ellise Collin, from Stafford in the UK, posted to Facebook last Sunday, saying she dropped an Ariel 3 in 1 tablet on the floor while doing the washing.
The mother claims the pod "exploded" and landed in her four-year-old daughter's eye, leaving her with painful burns.
"This is what it did to her she couldn’t open her eye for nearly 2 days," Ms Collin wrote.
"I’m so angry what it has done to her. I can’t believe the nasty chemicals that are in the 3 in one pods.
"It’s burnt all her eyelid and outfit (sic) of it! Luckily it’s done no damage inside and she can still see."

Ms Collin also posted photos of Arliah-Joy's swollen eye with red scabs on her eye lid and cheek.
She said the little girl has been in a lot of pain, with her eye sensitive to touch.
Aimee Goldsmith, Head of Communications for manufacturers P&G UK, said they are conducting an investigation into the accident.
“We are in contact with the mother to enable us to conduct a full investigation into the accident involving her daughter," she said, according to the Sun.
"Whilst we are reassured that her daughter is recovering well, we do not provide specific commentary on individual cases but can assure you that nothing is more important to us than the safety of the people who use our products.
“Laundry liquid pods are used safely in millions of homes every day. Our pods are designed to withstand over 30kg (300N) of pressure so should remain intact even if dropped on the ground from an average adult’s height."
