Mum's plea to find daughter's father - and all she knows is his nationality

A mum is desperately trying to find the father of her teenage daughter 15 years after she met him in a nightclub.

Terri Reid, 32, from the UK, told Wales Online the father of her daughter, Chanell, 14, is from Wales and she met him in a Blackpool nightclub in England’s northwest in January, 2003.

“I’m doing this for her,” she said.

Ms Reid, who still lives in Blackpool, said her daughter is now “old enough to understand and wants to find her dad” who she recalled had a Welsh accent. She added he was kind of “tall, dark and handsome”.

The mum was 17 at the time of the meeting and said she believes Chanell’s father is a year or two older as he was with friends and family on holiday.

The nightclub also doesn’t exist anymore but she believes it might have been called Sanuk and the man’s name could have been Liam. She added they met at the nightclub before going back to her friend’s unit above a Chinese restaurant.

The following day they parted.

Ms Reid said it’s “unfortunate it was a one-night stand” but loves that she has “a beautiful daughter from it”. The pair also don’t want anything from the father but Chanell started asking questions about him two years ago.

“It would be nice to know he’s out there somewhere and maybe wants to know we have a daughter together,” she said.
