The subtle detail hotel worker noticed that helped save a 13-year-old girl
A mother who works at a hotel in the US has helped save a vulnerable 13-year-old girl who had allegedly been taken there by two men.
Noticing a certain look in the girl's eyes that led her to believe the girl was not safe, she quickly called 911, WLWT5 reports.
"I have a guest that's in the room, and she is a minor," the woman, who works at the Days Inn in Cincinnati, told the 911 operator.
"And she says she's feeling unsafe because there's two gentlemen that brought her here, and she's afraid."
The hotel worker tells the 911 operator she thought the girl was 18, to which the operator replies: "OK. Well, at 18 she's not a minor."
"But she looks much younger than 18," the hotel worker says.
Not long after, detectives from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office arrived and arrested two men, 21-year-old Tayseer Mustafa and 29-year-old Mohammed Jagameh.
The pair appeared in court on Wednesday, when it was revealed the girl was actually 13 years old.
Mustafa is alleged to have met the victim, a runaway from Toledo, via an online dating app called Plenty of Fish - which is intended for people aged 17 and over.

At the hotel the two men allegedly provided the girl with alcohol, touched her inappropriately, and asked her for sex.
During a police interview, Jagameh admitted to everything but said he thought the girl was 18.
The hotel worker who had alerted police told WLWT5 that was hard to believe, saying the girl looked younger than her grandchildren.
A judge has set bail at $50,000 each (AUD $64,000) for Mustafa and Jagameh, who are currently behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Centre.
