Man stabbed at apartment block 'staggered to 7 Eleven for help'
A man has been stabbed to death near a popular petrol station in Melbourne.
The man was attacked at a neighbouring housing block in Richmond following reports of a dispute shortly before 8.15pm on Friday.
Police and emergency services were called to Church Street during the disturbance.
Bleeding heavily, the man staggered towards the 7 Eleven store at the petrol station in a bid to find help but collapsed outside.
A trail of blood was visible from a third floor apartment and along the footpath.
Paramedics attempted to revive the man but failed in their attempts and the man died en route to hospital.

Police have arrested a 34-year-old Port Melbourne man following the fatal altercation.
He remains in custody and is assisting police with their enquiries.
