Actress, 39, and man, 36, found dead in house a week after she went missing

Police are trying to unravel the mystery of a New Zealand actress and a man found dead in an Auckland home.

New Zealand actress Tania Ellwood, 39, and 36-year-old Timothy Kerr Hamilton, both of Auckland, were found dead at a Grey Lynn address on Tuesday, according to a written statement from Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Baldwin.

"The pair were known to each other and police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter," Det Snr Sgt Baldwin said.

"Police would still like to hear from anyone who may have seen or had contact with Tania Ellwood or Timothy Kerr Hamilton after 11am on Wednesday, 28 February."

Hamilton's brother, Jesse, told Stuff.co.nz he was still in shock at news of his death.

The investigation continues.
