Shocking video emerges of one punch attack on 13-year-old

The parents of a 13-year-old boy have posted footage of a sickening one-punch attack on the child on social media, hoping to name and shame the offender.

The Adelaide family is on the warpath after a teenager copped a sickening blow when his head was turned, while at a local park with mates.

Kyle White and his friends were hanging out in Blakeview, in the northern suburbs, when they were approached by another teenager and an adult.

In the clip, the teenager can be being punched in the head when he was not looking.

“I turned my head and just out of nowhere he hit me… I was in heaps of shock,” Kyle told 7 News.

Jade Wickham, also 13, said she was hit, too, when she leapt to her friend's defence.

“He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and he threw me to the floor and he hit me.”

The video has emerged as advocacy groups work to tackle youth violence, knowing one punch attacks can be fatal.

“I hope he gets caught doing what he's doing… I feel like he could do it to anyone, anytime,” Kyle added.

Kyle's dad Andrew White said he hopes releasing the video would encourage the thug to come forward and apologise.

“I just want him to get caught and say sorry to Kyle,” Mr White said.

The Sammy D Foundation’s Brett Duncanson warned the outcome could have been far more serious.

“These young kids don't understand the ramifications of these actions and it's the difference of millimetres or the way the victim falls.”

Police are investigating the incident.
