Houses are being given away for free - but what's the catch?
People are taking to Gumtree to advertise their homes - not for sale, but for free.
All they want you to do is take the house off their land.
But removing a house comes at a significant cost, experts warn, and it can quickly add up.
One three-bedroom, one-bathroom home in the Queensland suburb of Taigum is one of the many being advertised on Gumtree for free.
While a "free" house might seem attractive, if you do it yourself, the whole process of "moving" a house to a different piece of land can take at least four months, involving consultations with dozens of people including building certifiers, engineers and council officers.
Disconnecting and removing a house will set you back $20,000 to $30,000.
Cleaning up the site it was on can cost up to $10,000, and restumping the house between $10,000 and $25,000.
You'll then pay another $10,000 to get building certification.
"Once you get the house to the block, then you've got your reconnecting of your services," Ashleigh Mackay of Mackay and Sons House Removal told 7 News.
"If you were to purchase a house off us, for example, we would literally take care of doing all that for you."
It's also worth noting that the legal protections between house sales and removals differ.

"A standard house contract would be subject to a building and pest inspection," property lawyer Matthew Raven said.
"Buying a house isn't buying the land, so all the legislation that applies to real estate won't apply to just buying the actual timber and tin," REIQ's Rob Honeycomb said.
All things to consider, he said, when assessing the true cost of a "free" home.
