Murder charge for man who ran over mum in driveway while stealing her car
A Perth man has faced court accused of trying to steal a family car and then running over and killing a mother of two.
Michael Spratt, of Mirrabooka, has been charged with murdering Marija Karovska.
It's alleged Spratt, 25, tried to steal a car parked in a Cedar Court driveway on Friday. That's when WA Police said Ms Karovska tried to stop him by standing behind the car and that she was run over multiple times.
The 52-year-old was given CPR on her driveway but was pronounced dead at the Royal Perth Hospital.
This tragedy was witnessed by Marija's two adult children. Her son was also injured when he tried to stop the car reversing over his mum, and he's also been treated in hospital.
