Mum's heartbreaking Facebook post about daughter found floating in pool

A mother has written a heartbreaking Facebook post after her two-year-old daughter died four days after she fell in a backyard swimming pool.

Evie Ryan, from the Gold Coast in Queensland, was found floating in the Nerang swimming pool on Saturday.

As she fought for her life in hospital, the community rallied to have the Wiggles, including her favourite Captain Feathersword, visit on Wednesday.

But just one day after they came and sang to her, the little girl passed away.

"She fought so hard so hard to stay with us. She was surround by all the love in the world from her family with endless cuddles," Evie's mother Kelly Ryan wrote.

"Our hearts are completely shattered and will never be the same.

"Luke Hudson Ruby Evie and I want to thank ALL of you for your continuous love and support throughout this horrific time."

The post attracted hundreds of comments, with members of the group devastated Evie didn't pull through.

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
