The mysterious Bali tourist attraction gaining in popularity

An abandoned Boeing 737 plane is getting attention in Bali but no one knows how or why the mysterious aircraft got there.

The plane currently sits in a field near a major road off the Raya Nusa Dua Selatan Highway near Pandawa Beach.

Adding to the mystery is that the plane has no identification or branding badges.

There's a rumour it was a failed plan for a restaurant and instead of removing the plane, the owner just left it.

It's become a tourist attraction, despite being locked behind a gate.

Videos of the plane have been uploaded to YouTube.

In one of them, travel blogger Josh, from Exploring With Josh, tries unsuccessfully to get a closer look of the plane. He speaks to two men outside the fence appearing to guard the aircraft but they won't let him in.

Another blogger, Duncan Lyster, was also unsuccessful trying to get near it after visiting Bali in 2016.

It's not the only abandoned aircraft in Bali either. Another abandoned Boeing 737 is 8km north next to a Dunkin' Donuts.
