They had posed as potential customers wanting to buy his friend's Audi A4, which had been advertised on Gumtree.

One of them sent messages to Ahmed: "Can I come and inspect it tonight? Around 9-10pm?"

But it was all part of a violent plan. "I came and there were four blokes there, four African males just standing around," Ahmed said.

Two got into the car with Ahmed, who was in the front passenger seat.

"They drove up the road, they stopped and pointed the gun at me in the back of the head," he said. "They said 'get out, get out, get out'.

"I got punched by the driver on my lip and just got out straight away because I saw the gun. I jumped out."

Ahmed hid in a stranger's front yard, in fear of his life before the pair sped off. The Audi was later found dumped at Annerley.

Ten people were arrested at a nearby hotel and were being questioned by police on Tuesday night.

In an unrelated incident, a 31-year-old finance worker was allegedly assaulted and carjacked by four people while waiting to pick up her partner on Sunday night.

On Monday night, they crashed the Audi, similar to Ahmed's, at Murrumba Downs.

The teens then tried to carjack an Uber driver before a 16-year-old was tracked by the dog squad to a unit block.

Three others are on the run.
