Brawling men stop Sydney traffic in violent road rage attack

A pair of brawling men held up Sydney traffic after they launched a violent road rage attack in the middle of a busy thoroughfare.

The fight was captured on camera by witnesses on Military Road in the harbourside suburb of Mosman on Saturday afternoon.

Traffic came to a standstill as a man in a white shirt gets out of his vehicle to pull a truck driver out of his cabin.

Footage shows both men laying in to each other with kicks and punches.

One witness can be heard yelling "It's a main road," as the duo fight.

"He was trying to rip the guy out and was throwing punches as the other guy was trying to fend him off," an onlooker said.

During the scuffle, the truck driver dropped his phone on to the street and witnesses said the other man picked it up.

"He was kind of taunting him with it and that was when the head kicking started," another witness said.

"It just didn't seem like it was going to end, they weren't resolving it and it was violent."

The reason for the fight is unclear, but eventually both of the men returned to their vehicles and drove off.

Police were made aware of the incident and no charges have been laid.

The brawl comes after a string of other violent road rage attacks in Sydney.

"It's a really dangerous thing and we know that things can quickly spiral out of control when you're dealing with road rage," NRMA spokesperson Peter Khoury said.

"Unfortunately there have been instances in the past where people have lost their lives."
