'Not missing out!' The latest Aldi product sending shoppers off their rocker

International supermarket giant Aldi is known for its bargains and weekly specials, but stores around the country are expected to be chaotic next week over the sale of a rocking chair that sold out in seconds in its first release last year.

With the announcement that the store will once again be selling a sought-after rocking chair, mums and mums-to-be around the country are already preparing for the mayhem.

The chair, priced at $199, will be available in stores from January 17, but don’t expect them to last long.

“Not missing out this time!” one eager mum wrote on Instagram, after a photo of the latest catalogue was posted on the Aldi Lovers Australia page.

“Omg it’s back! This time I’m waiting out the front with a baseball bat,” another woman joked.

The product appeared at Aldi in July last year and was sold out within minutes of the doors opening.

Sydney blogger, The Mum Connection, lined up at the store early for last year’s sale and was lucky enough to grab one - but it wasn’t without a fight.

“The doors opened and it was on like King Kong!” she wrote on her Instagram page.

“There were people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. There was only FOUR chairs on the floor which I wasn't quick enough to get BUT LUCKILY I found an Aldi worker near the back dock & other people followed behind me. I LOCKED IN ONE OUT OF TWO, OUT THE BACK & I had an argument with a woman as she tried to explain why she deserved it over me: na-ah hunny! It was mums gone wild let me tell you.”

Another mum who managed to secure a chair last year provided some tips to those contending for the sale this year.

“I lined up at 6:30am and was the second person there… get there early,” Jennifer Mobbs wrote on Instagram.

“I’ll plan a 5am trip this time!” another woman wrote.

According to the feedback of many mums, the rockers are great for nursing babies and also come with interchangeable standard legs.
