Mum, 20, dies suddenly in her sleep

A family are mourning their "sweet angel" after the young mother suddenly passed away in her sleep, leaving behind a four-month-old son.

Rhiana Dunbar, from the small town of Kabra in Queensland's Rockhampton region, was found dead by family members on Boxing Day after suffering an unknown medical condition.

The 20-year-old single mother had just spent her first Christmas with son Harrison and her family are now searching for answers.

The family are waiting for results of ongoing medical tests to determine the cause of her death.

"On Boxing Day my little sister grew her angel wings," Ms Dunbar's sister Shenae wrote on Facebook.

"She is in the loving arms of our dad. RIP my sweet Angel and I know you will be forever looking over your son."

Ms Dunbar was a much-loved member of the community and volunteered with Gracemere SES.

"Rhiana was a part of Navy Cadets for many years, her heart was bigger than anyone I had ever known and loved to help out in any way she could," Shenae said.

"She was a single mother but with a loving and supporting family and she is someone whom I looked up to and was a strong woman and mother.

"She adored her son and would do anything for him, I am just wanting to give him the life Rhiana would of wanted."

The family have started a GoFundMe page to raise money for Harrison and have already raised $28,000.
