Slithery nightmare: Queensland woman finds terrifying visitor in bed
A Queensland homeowner has woken up in the middle of the night to find a large snake in a very unwelcome spot.
On Tuesday, Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers posted a photo of the python, explaining it had lived in the roof at the Eumundi home and would always slither back into hiding after popping out briefly.
But one night the female resident woke up at 3am to find the snake curled up near her head.
The photo shows the python positioned right next to her pillow on top of the mattress.
"One night she woke to find the snake curled up in the bed with her at 3am!" The Snake Catcher 24/7 - Sunshine Coast wrote alongside the picture.
"Crazy. Snakes don't want to hurt us, sometimes they just want to snuggle."

The snake catcher advised residents install a fly screen and keep doors and windows closed to avoid the unwanted guests.
"Snake in a bed is not common. Snakes getting in houses because people leave doors and windows open," they said.
