Hunt for cruel teens who filmed themselves stoning kitten to death

WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: Animal rights groups are searching for a teenage girl who was filmed laughing as she stoned a kitten to death.

The graphic content shows the girl throwing the kitten on the ground before repeatedly tossing large pieces of concrete towards it, eventually crushing the cat.

The footage was posted on animal rights group Pawjustice's Facebook page in an attempt to identify those responsible.

The girl and at least two other people appear to have New Zealand accents and could be heard laughing on as the disturbing act of animal cruelty unfolded.

It’s not known exactly where the “terrible act of cruelty” unfolded but Paw Justice is determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.

"This terrible act of cruelty and senseless death of a young kitten is what we have to fight against! We can't even begin understand why this little soul was stoned to death," the post said.

"Let them know it's not right, and in fact it's so wrong it's beyond sick. Let them know it won't be tolerated."

Paw Justice co-founder Craig Dunn said the video was "one of the most disturbing videos I've seen ... it's just horrific".

"It was so casual and blasé - there was no empathy, no consideration, nothing towards it."

Anyone with information has been asked to email craig@pawjustice.co.nz with the word "kitten" in the subject line.

Last month a Sydney jogger discovered six small kittens that had been brutally tortured and murdered before being dumped in Crestwood Reserve.

The kittens, all aged between six to eight weeks, were collected by inspectors from the Animal Welfare League NSW, who discovered the full extent of their injuries through a series of post mortems.

They are now also hunting the person responsible, telling Yahoo7 News that all the kittens had been stabbed, while four had their tails removed.
