Father and son arrested after video shows them bashing teenager
A father and son have been arrested after disturbing video emerged showing them beating a teenager in South Australia.
The video is disturbing and difficult to watch and shows a 45-year-old man and his 14-year-old son chase down a 15-year-old in an isolated carpark in Port Augusta.
The father accuses him of spitting on his daughter. He’s warned not to retaliate.
“If you throw a punch at my son, I’m going to smash your f****** face in mate,” the man tells him.
The teen’s thrown on to concrete and the 14-year-old punches him repeatedly. He’s forced to apologise “on his knees”. He says sorry.
The father warns the teen if he ever hears him say any “f****** thing again” he’ll come to his house. He warns he’ll “cave his head in” if he spits on his daughter again.
The boy escapes but he and his family are traumatised.
The family’s lawyer Khatija Thomas said the alleged victim’s mother is “angry and outraged towards the father”.

“It made her feel sick to the stomach,” Ms Thomas said.
The mother of the arrested boy told Seven News she isn’t mad about the fight and said: “if it hadn’t been filmed, it would be no big deal” but her own family members are horrified by the video.
“It’s pretty ridiculous really,” a member of the family said.
“A grown man involved in that sort of thing.”
The father and son were arrested on Monday night and charged with aggravated assault.
Locals tipped off police after recognising the man’s work uniform. The duo will face court in January.
