Chinese daredevil dies 'after fall during stunt on high-rise building'

A daredevil internet sensation is believed to have died after falling from a high-rise building while performing one of his heart-stopping stunts.

Wu Yongning, 26, shot to fame in China after live streaming a string of death-defying climbs but he has reportedly met his match as one stunt became a step too far, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

His girlfriend took to China's social media network Weibo on Friday to confirm his death.

"Today is December 8th. It makes me think of November 8th, the day that you left us, left this world," she wrote.

Followers of Yongning initially became worried when the star, who has over one million social media followers, failed to share any content following November 8.

A video has since emerged online that is claiming to be of Yongning's fatal fall but its authenticity is yet to be confirmed.
