Parents find chilling note in 13-year-old daughter's room as she flees to meet older man
Two parents are desperately searching for their 13-year-old daughter after they found a disturbing note in her room as she boarded a bus for Mexico to meet an older man.
Ashlee Hattermann left her school in Katy, Texas on Friday afternoon before deceiving a woman into buying her a bus ticket.
Her parents believe she was on her way to meet a man she had been speaking to through social media and covert messaging apps for the past year.
“We found a note in her room,” Ashlee’s father, Keith Hattermann told local media.
“She calls the guy ‘daddy’ and herself ‘baby girl.’ [The note read] ‘Daddy owns my body and my soul,' over and over and over again down this sheet of paper.”
Keith and his wife, Tiffany Hattermann, said they discovered their daughter was exchanging graphic sexual images and messages last May.
When they asked her about it, Ashlee reportedly told her mother that she was communicating with a 29-year-old man who lives in Mexico.
“We just feel helpless. We just want her back. We just want her safe,” Mr Hattermann added.
CCTV images from the Greyhound bus stop in Katy show the young teen along with an unidentified woman.
It was that woman, who asked not to be named, that Ashlee reportedly tricked into purchasing the ticket.
“I asked her how old she was; she said 18,” the woman told KHOU 11.
“She told me she was here all week, visiting her boyfriend. She told me that [her parents] lived in Laredo and that she had been up here to visit her boyfriend and she was trying to get back to her family.”
