University student reportedly 'recorded himself having sex with unconscious woman'

A Miami University student is accused of allegedly raping a woman while she was unconscious and filming the attack in the school's residence hall.

Nicolas Cristescu, 20, is accused of raping the woman on October 12 with the female student reporting the alleged sexual assault to police a week later on October 19.

Police said the man is known to her.

"The incident is reported to have occurred in the early morning hours of October 12 in a residence hall room at Heritage Commons," a police spokesperson told American broadcaster WLWT5.

A student at the university said they "heard the campus crime alert, and then our RD also sent out an email specifically to all of us talking about it".

Miami University police arrested Cristescu a week later. He has since been indicted by a Butler County grand jury on 13 charges including rape, sexual battery, and 11 counts of voyeurism.

According to court documents, last month, inside Pines Lodge on campus, "Cristescu video recorded himself" having sex with an unconscious female.

Court documents state she "did not consent or have any memory" of what happened.

Investigators said Cristescue also photographed the unconscious student in "various stages of undress" including close-ups of private areas.

Authorities said Cristescu also had naked photos of a 16-year-old on his cell phone.

He is waiting for sentencing on charges related to this incident and a drug charge that he pleaded guilty to.

He remains in the Butler County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
