Shoppers blame slow internet speeds, subscription for Click Frenzy chaos

Shoppers have vented their frustration on social media claiming the bi-annual Click Frenzy shopping event was "poorly organised".

The chaos kicked off at 7pm on Tuesday with huge savings on a range of products including home, fashion, toys, sport and travel.

Google Home was being sold for $2, an Xbox for $4, an LG 55-inch TV was selling for $10, a FitBit is going for $2, and a 10.5-inch iPad Pro 64GB for $10.

However, many users claimed they either had trouble accessing the site or they had trouble claiming any of the deals mentioned.

Those that subscribed were supposed to receive emails revealing where certain hugely discounted items were going to be on the website, however some claimed this didn't happen.

The 24-hour event generated about $200 million in sales last year.

Others however were pleased with their purchases.
