Actress Judith McGrath dies aged 70

Australian actress Judith McGrath, who starred in some of the country's best loved television shows, has died aged 70.

The veteran soap star was best known for her Logie-nominated role as nurse Von Ryan in All Saints.

She also appeared in Neighbours, Prisoner, A Country Practice and Winners and Losers during her long career.

Her family have not yet spoken regarding the loss of the television veteran.

McGrath started her acting career with the Brisbane Arts Theatre.

Fans paid tribute to McGrath on social media and entertainment reporter Craig Bennett said "vale is not enough."
