Michael Hutchence's heartbreaking plans to grow his family before he died

In the build-up to Monday night’s world exclusive documentary Michael Hutchence – The Last Rockstar, it’s been revealed the INXS frontman was undergoing fertility treatment in a bid for a second child during his final years alive.

Breath-taking never-before-seen home footage is set to provide fans across the country a glimpse into just how infatuated Hutchence was with his daughter, Tiger Lily.

It’s now been revealed that in in the years leading up to his shock death inside a Sydney hotel room, Hutchence’s primary focus was not on dominating the music world but rather building a family with his partner Paula Yates.

“I doubt it has been since the day it was shot, everyone speaks about Michael being absolutely obsessed and besotted with Tiger Lily,” Executive Producer Mark Llewellyn said.

“You can hear people say it, but when you actually see it you see the true love he had.”

Speaking for the first time ever about Hutchence's death, his lawyer and executor of his estate Colin Diamond shut down rumours of a rift between the rocker and Yates, revealing they were actually trying to give Tiger Lily a baby brother or sister.

“He was actively having fertility treatment in the UK with Paula. They were looking at having another child,” Diamond says in part one of the documentary.

“Michael and I had discussions about them getting married in Tahiti," Diamond added.

“The discussions that I'd had with Michael all the way through was certainly not to leave her.

“He was more interested in getting back to London to complete the fertility treatment to have another child.”
